Heya Leif - thanks for your kind words - actually I'm an Aussie who's currently living in Hong Kong - does that make it easier for you guys to visit ;) - Play is still a bit taboo over hear (so is physical activity in some cirlcles) but the wave is coming...there's a bunch of us who are playing up a storm and slowly we'll get there - take great heart & inspiration from you sparky lot and look forward to meeting the gang. Thanks again
I would love to come....I noted on the 'Wow' comment sheet to talk about trade or scholorship....I can trade a home design consultation (green building), for example...It could be ways to save $ on energy bills verses a remodel : ) I can also help organize...put flyers out, etc.
I have gotten scholorships before which I am always extremely grateful for.
Or, I am learning a lot from your website - and putting info into practice!
Hopefully paid work and $ flow will shift soon...
The Foxfire books are/were classics for survival (in the 70's)' how to' if one started 'homesteading'....the desert island image had me think of how unprepared I am most people are for such situations....not knowing the basics....so these books would not only provide for survival - but also lots of entertainment as I created everything form scratch. Of course I could have imagined a desert island with a nice ecolodge on it....or it was a 3 day vacation where I would get picked up again : ) Other books inspire me more...
Yes, CEO Chef training is fun, but cut backs on company have severely reduced the number of programs we've done recently.... hence my branching out to offer my skills to other organizations. I've set up several social networks here on Ning and am learning a bunch not only about the technical aspects of social networking sites, but also about social and psychological aspects.
Hi Leif - thanks so much for your note! I am involved in social media at my company, American Electric Power, and am always interested to see how others use sm tools. For now, there is nothing I need help with, but will certainly keep you in mind in the future. Thanks again!
Great video Leif. I love that one part - making a blog about taking one night off from technology - the irony.
After seeing this, I'm looking forward to seeing if there's even more synergy in our work.
Thanks for openning this social space. I´ve been working with both impro (applied in business) and technology (also in organizations) I´m reading the book "Wikinomics" by Don Tapscott and Anthony D. Williams and it´s really amazing the historical moment we´re living in moving into a total tec society. It will be great to talk about it in this virtual space. Have a Great and prosperous day.
Hi Leif. Regret we never did connect while I was in Seattle. Have now returned to the Philippines. You may be interested in checking out http://chef2video.com/ which we've just created on our own non-Ning platform and is now in beta.
